In 2022 Island Style Clothing is committed to making conscious efforts where possible to lessen the impact that we as a company have on our planet. Being a small family business located on the Sunshine Coast, we love the beach! We are passionate about maintaining the prosperity and wellness of the place we are lucky enough to call home and want to do our part to keep plastics out of our oceans and instead repurpose them in a sustainable and stylish way.

Our new 100% Recycled Swim Shorts are made by recycled post-consumer plastic bottles that have been crushed, washed, melted and dyed into soft sustainable yarn which we then turn into a fun stylish pair of shorts instead of allowing them to end up damaging our waterways. The material is lightweight and quick drying making them the perfect shorts for you to wear for any occasion whether it be from the beach to the bar!

We have just received in our first range of shorts made from recycled plastic bottles, the Groovy Grapefruit Men’s Swim Shorts, Happy Hour Men’s Swim Shorts and Christmas Pool Party. We intend on ensuring all our shorts moving forward are made using recycled material. Our Groovy Grapefruit Shorts feature a soft teal green base with bright pink grapefruits all over. The colours are fun and playful. Our Happy Hour Shorts have a sleek black base dawned in Original ‘ISC Brew’ Beer Bottles, palm leaves and lime wedges. These short designs both have an elastic drawstring waistband, 2 side mesh pockets and a velcro fastening back pocket with sewn-on 'Beach to the Bar' patch. These shorts all have exact matching Hawaiian shirts, made with ISC embossed coconut buttons. Stand out in a crowd, at a pub crawl, festival or bucks party with a two-piece set AKA Cabana Set!

The production of recycled plastic material contributed to 33-53% less energy use than that of virgin polyester production. Each pair of shorts made from this recycled material is 7 less plastic bottles floating in our oceans so not only are you purchasing a product that is high in comfort, affordability and quality but you are purchasing a product that you can feel good wearing knowing you are helping reduce the amount of plastic polluting in the sea.
